Here’s an interesting video of sculptor Jedd Novatt discussing his two permanent sculptures installed outside of the Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM). Part of his well-known Chaos series, Novatt declines to address the specific concepts behind these dynamic, tense, and seemingly unstable geometric cubes. However, he does provide an interesting perspective about the importance of the work’s physical location in relation to the museum’s building, the south Florida sunshine, the water – as well as the city of Miami itself being an important destination for viewers of Art Basel.
