Doug and Mike Starn’s large-scale glass and steel commission (Any) Body Oddly Propped was recently installed at the Princeton University Art Museum. “We like to envelope your vision and experience. It’s not about something you approach and examine, it’s like life – something that encompasses you and changes your perceptions” Starn said.
In addition to shedding light on how their experience as twins specifically influences almost all their work, this engaging video unveils an interesting change in the perspective of the sculpture which ultimately brought it to life.
